What Does the Exam Consist of?/¿En qué consiste nuestro examen?
The cognitive exam:/Examen Cognitivo:
- Consists of 100 to 150 multiple-choice questions delivered via computer.
- Must be completed within a three- hour time limit.
- Is administered in-person at an authorized IPR site.
- Is proctored by an IPR Representative, and no reference materials are allowed.
The practical exam:/Examen Práctico:
- Consists of three scenarios, approximately lasting 15 to 20 minutes each, where candidates must assess and treat a simulated prehospital patient.
- Involves candidates working in teams of three, each taking a turn as the team leader.
- Is scored by two trained evaluators.
Successful candidates are awarded certification documents (letter-sized certificate and wallet card) and an official IPR patch at the end of the exam day.
- Consiste de tres escenarios, durando aproximadamente 15 a 20 minutos cada uno, en los cuales candidatos revisan y atienden a un paciente prehospitalario simulado.
- Es realizado en grupos de tres; los participantes se turnan para ser el líder y miembro del equipo.
- Es calificado por dos evaluadores entrenados.
Candidatos que logran aprobación reciben sus comprobantes de certificación (documento tamaño carta y credencial portátil) y un parche oficial al término del examen.
